Who’s to blame over Government shutdown?

Who can we blame for the very real government shutdown? As you probably know by now, the Federal Government has shutdown over Congress’ inability to work together. Which party is to blame over this madness? Or are both parties to blame?

This whole shutdown issue stems from Obamacare and Republican’s discontent with the law as it’s written. The House has been sending bills to the Senate which quickly reject all of the House’s proposals. So, who should we be blaming? Who is acting like the “spoiled children”? Although I don’t like to side with one of the traditional two parties, I’m leaning more with the Republicans on this issue.

It’s no surprise that Americans strongly disagree with the way Congress has been acting. In a recent CNN poll, 87% of adults disapprove of the way Congress, as a whole, has been handling it’s job. But which party Americans blame is less clear. Some polls point to Republicans, while others point to Democrats.

Whether you agree with the new law or not, compromise is always needed to some degree when dealing with legislation. In this instance, Democrats are offering no compromise at all. For this reason, I think Dems are more to blame for this shutdown. This whole situation has got to be very stressful for both Republicans and Democrats.
