Potential Onimusha Game Gets Trademarked

Players haven’t heard anything about Onimusha since a browser game in 2012, Onimusha Soul. It was ported to PS3 just two years later. Before that, it was Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams, in 2006.

There might be more Onimusha to be had though. Recently, Capcom registered a new trademark for Onimusha. It could be a brand new addition to the series, or it very well could be a remaster, but no one knows any details thus far.

This is just one trademark out of all the new ones from Japanese publishers that have been registered recently. Kadokawa Games has trademarked “Novel 0,” Sega has trademarked “Nurikeshi,” and Konami has trademarked “Duel Links.” Whatever the case is with Capcom, signs point to a pretty exciting upcoming year.

Just in case you need a refresher course on the last console game, or something to bring new players into the series, here’s the intro to Dawn of Dreams. It’s been said to be a fantastic opening, which it is, but does it compare to the Onimusha 3: Demon Seige intro? It’s a matter of debate, really.

What do you think of a potential Onimusha game? Do you think the series can be revived, or is it too late? More so, do we like Demon Seige, or the Dawn of Dreams opening more? Let us know in the comments below!
